The Faculty of Educational Sciences
The Faculty of Educational Sciences provides a comprehensive teacher training programme and offers postgraduate programmes with opportunities for research.
Teacher training is available for all levels of the Swedish school and pre-school system. Future educators have considerable freedom of choice in subject specialisation and age group. Teacher training draws on a set of courses in general education. Teacher trainees come into contact with local schools from the very start.
Courses and programmes are generally taught in Swedish, although there are a number of courses offered in English which are open to international students.
The 7th biannual Nordic conference on adult education and learning reframes the classical question of whether there is such thing as a Nordic model of adult education and prompts us to ask how well Nordic adult education has adapted to our age of global mobility.
The Master of Adult Learning & Global Change program was awarded the Excellence in E-Learning at the 14th European Conference on E-Learning held at the University of Hertfordshire, UK.
Dean of Education, Jörgen Nissen, Karin Mårdsjö Blume and Lena Örnestrand had the opportunity to meet NIE teacher students at the National Institute of Education in Singapore for a reunion.
