Linköping University Summer Academy
7,5 ECTS credit-bearing programme in Linköping – Sweden - Scandinavia
In 2016 LiU will launch its first International Summer Academy. The programme will give international students an opportunity to study in Sweden for one month, choose from a number of high-quality courses and gain cultural insights together with other students from all over the world. All courses will be taught in English and are full-time.
Linköping in southern Sweden is one of Sweden’s fastest growing municipalities, with about 150,000 inhabitants. High technology of world class, an innovative university and lively trade characterises the city. Linköping’s industry, municipality and the university closely collaborate. Close cooperation with Norrköping and other neighbouring municipalities is increasing. Linköping is situated in an inviting landscape of beautiful natural green surroundings and it is a place where history and tradition meet creativity and innovation.

- Academic English, 7.5 ECTS
- Drug Addiction - From Genes to Behaviour, 7.5 ECTS
- Exploring Sweden, the Anthropological Way, 7.5 ECTS
- Health Care Improvement and Entrepreneurship in an International Context, 7.5 ECTS
- Hospice and Palliative Nursing Ethics, 7.5 ECTS (Course is cancelled)
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship in a Swedish context, 7.5 ECTS
- Leadership and Organisational Behaviour in Contemporary Organisations, 7.5 ECTS
Requirements: Upon application experience of university studies corresponding to one year of full-time studies (60 ECTS) as well as a good command of English is required of all students attending the LiU Summer Academy.
Format: Lectures, workshops, seminars, laboratory exercises and field trips (Depending on which course the student attends).
Tuition fee: The LiU Summer Academy is only open to students from LiU's partner universities and is tuition free.
Application: We are open for applications on our website until February the 29th 2016.
Study tours: Stockholm and the historic town Vadstena (at student's own expense).
Cost for student accommodation: SEK 5,000:- SEK/month.
Exchange quota: We would like to propose that the quota of Summer Academy places to semester places is 4:1.
Maximum number students per partner: We aim for a good mix of students and our partner universities are welcome to nominate a maximum of 5 students per course.
