LiU International Scholarships

Linköping University offers sholarships to new students with excellent academic results. Scholarships within the programme LiU International Scholarships will result in a tuition fee waiver of 50-100 %

Who is eligible?

• Students who have applied for master’s programmes at Linköping University in time (before 15 January)
• AND who have chosen a programme at Linköping University as the first priority (ranked as No.1 out of 4)
• AND who are required to pay tuition fees

This scholarship programme is not open for students from the following 12 countries: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. Students from these countries should apply for the Swedish Institute Study Scholarship.

To apply for a LiU International Scholarship, you must first apply for the programme you wish to study at Linköping University using the online national application website, www.universityadmissions.se.

First year applicants

Application for a LiU International Scholarship is made by by filling in the electronic application form on Linköping University’s website.
The application for the selected master's programme(s) on www.universityadmissions.se must be made prior to making a scholarship application on Linköping University’s website, as necessary information for making the scholarship application is obtained during this process.

• Application deadline is 1 March
• Scholarship applications will only be processed after the corresponding application for master’s programmes on www.universityadmissions.se has been completed, required documentation and the application fee has been received.
• Only applicants fulfilling the eligibility requirements for the master's programme applied for will be considered for a scholarship.
• All data entered in the scholarship application form must be verifiable by the documentation submitted in the national application process www.universityadmissions.se.
• For making a scholarship application, no additional documents are required.
• LiU International Scholarships (Application) only avaliable during application period.

Notification and mandatory confirmation requirement

Scholarship notifications will be announced by Linköping University on www.liu.se by the end of March.
The scholarship receiver must confirm the offer by:

1. accepting the offered study place on www.universityadmissions.se no later than 8 April
2. AND accepting the offered scholarship by sending an e-mail to masters-scholarships@liu.se no later than 8 April

If no reply is registered on www.universityadmissions.se by 8 April, the offer of a scholarship is revoked.

Second year applicants

If there are scholarhips for second year applicants, information on how to apply will be posted here by mid-June.
