Life on campus
The university library provides a broad range of high quality resources for students. Besides books and journals, it houses computer terminals where students can retrieve information from local catalogues as well as national and international databases. The library arranges courses in information retrieval.
Computers and internet access
Students have access to computers and internet connection on all campuses. Some of these computer rooms are available 24 hours a day. Once you are registered as a student you will receive a LiU ID that allows you to log on to these computers. You get access to the computer rooms with your student card.
Student Healthcare Centre
There is a Student Health Care Centre (Studenthälsan) on campus Valla and campus Norrköping. There you will find nurses that work with disease prevention and social counsellors ready to help you. Please note that for a doctor’s appointment you need to visit a primary health care centre. All services at the Student Health Care Centre are confidential and free of charge.
There are about 100 associations on campus. They cater for a wide variety of interests such as music/choirs, sports, religion, academic topics and much more. Read more about student leisure activities.
Erasmus Student Network (ESN)
ESN is a student organisation which organises activities for all international students at LiU, such as parties, dinners, sport tournaments and various outings and trips.
International Student Association (ISA)
ISA arranges social and cultural activities for international students, for instance the annual International Day. Join ISA on Facebook and keep up-to-date with their events.
Association for International Visitors (AIV)
International students who want to get to know a Swedish family can sign up with the Association for International Visitors (AIV). AIV arranges introductions to Swedish families, cultural programmes and trips. An application form will be sent to you upon request.
