Research within Science for Sustainable Development
The Master’s degree Science for Sustainable Development provides candidates with the opportunity to broaden their academic and research experience through research collaborations at Linköping University.
Water and Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary research unit focusing on issues regarding water supply, sustainable development, climate change and food in history and society. Current research is conducted within and between three interdisciplinary long-term focus areas:
- Pollution – causes, impacts, policies and measures
- Livelihood, lifestyles and long-term supply of food, water and energy
- Climate change - impacts, politics, policies and measures.
Technology and Social Change is an interdisciplinary research unit focusing on how social actors create and use technology, and how technical change is woven together with cultural patterns, daily life, politics, energy systems, learning, and the economy in history and society.

Centre for Climate Science and Policy Research (CSPR) has rapidly established itself as a prominent reference point for studies related to climate science and policy research. The research is interdisciplinary and puts problems related to climate change in context with other measures for sustainable development, such as limiting environ-mental impact and responsible management of natural resources.
