Three Keywords
The program has been running for two years, the first intake was autumn 2007 with 30 students and the second intake was autumn 2008 with 30 students. Students from all over the world are now following the program. The first group of Master students from the program will get their degree in June 2009. Additional to these Master students, about 6 to 8 students from ERASMUS Exchange program follow the courses during the first year. The second year Swedish students will take part in the program. After successful studies you will be able to take a job in a company/organisation, which has international operations and where you will contribute with good analytical skills and broad awareness of strategic thinking. The programme covers four semesters and ends with a final semester during which you write your master’s thesis.
The two-year master’s programme in Business Administration, Strategy and Management in International Organizations (SMIO), focuses on topics in the disciplines of Business Administration. The programme’s overall purpose is to contribute to the education of a new generation of researchers and practitioners, competent to understand science and business as social phenomena and to help guide their development towards socially appropriate ends. It covers two years of full-time studies.
The programme is offered to international students and to students from Sweden. As an international programme, it offers the students the possibility of carrying out a semester of study at another European university through the Erasmus exchange programme. Similar possibilities to study at Linköping University on an exchange basis are offered to students from other partner universities.
