Energy environmental engineering

The Sustainability Engineering and Management master’s programme deals with the multifaceted challenge of developing products, services and technical systems that contribute to increased resource effectiveness and sustainability.

It is a well-known fact that economic development and human welfare largely rely on accessibility of raw materials and energy. However, the exploitation of such natural resources generates many environmental implications such as climate change, resource scarcity and uncontrolled dispersal of various hazardous substances. In times of global environmental problems and concerns about long-term availability of natural resources such as metals and minerals, incentives for using materials and energy in a more intelligent and efficient way are increasing among governments, companies and other organisations.

Second admission round

The Second admission round is an alternative for students from EU/EEA countries and Switzerland. For non-EU/EEA students, applying in the Second round will most likely result in not having enough time to obtain a residence permit before the start of the semester.

Citizens from within the EU/EEA and Switzerland: No tuition fees

All others: SEK 140,000 (approx. USD 20,000/EUR 15,000) per academic year

Programme specific requirements

Applicants shall have:

  • a bachelor's degree with a major in an engineering subject
  • at least 30 ECTS credits in mathematics/applied mathematics and/or application of mathematics relevant to the programme
