Qualifying Course in Swedish, semester 1 (local applicants) , 30 hp
The course is intended for non-Swedish-speaking students (Nordic and EU/EEA citizens or long term residents) who plan to study at Linköping University. The students should acquire a basic knowledge of Swedish and develop their language proficiency as well as gaining familiarity with Swedish society and the Swedish system of education. The course may not be counted as part of a university degree. An introductory course of 7,5 ECTS credits, starting at the beginning of August/January is mandatory for beginners. Urvalsgrupper Selection is based on upper secondary school results (final grade point average; 70% of available places) and previous academic studies (30 % of available places).
Särskilda förkunskapskrav: For admission to Qualifying course in Swedish, the applicant is required to satisfy the general entry requirements except for Swedish language and have passed the entrance examination/final examination after completing the intensive introductory course in Swedish for beginners and incoming students, 7.5 HE credits, or the equivalent.
The course is intended only for applicants with other first languages than Swedish.
