Outdoor Education, continuation course, 15 credits

In this course the roots of outdoor education as well as the latest international research in the field are presented. Through the combination of practical experiences, lectures and seminars the students can achieve a deeper understanding for outdoor education. The natural and cultural landscape is a base for learning and education for sustainable development. Health aspects and the relations between human and society are also analyzed in the course.
Course meetings: 9th - 13th September and 19th - 23rd May.

Specific admission requirements: A master's thesis (15 ECTS) in the field or in relevant topics.Documented knowledge of English equivalent to Engelska B/Engelska 6, i.e. English as native language or an internationally recognized test, e.g. TOEFL (minimum scores: Paperbased 575 + TWE-score 4.5, internetbased 90 TWE-score 20), IELTS, academic (minimum score: Overall band 6.5 and no band under 5.5), or equivalent.
