Infection Biology - Clinical Perspectives, 7,5 credits, 7,5 credits

In this course, the students will focus on four main themes: Biomaterial related infections; Infectious diseases and global medicine; Chronic infections; Infections related to mother and child. Based on studies within these themes, the students will obtain current knowledge within the fields of infectious medicine, medical microbiology, virology, clinical immunology, global medicine and obstetrics. The course will be given on full time speed during five weeks.

Specific admission requirements: At least three years of full-time undergraduate studies in a major subject area with relevance for Life Science, e.g. from faculties within medicine, technology/natural sciences, odontology, pharmaceutical science. The lowest acceptable grade from undergraduate studies is Pass.

Applicants with a degree from a non-Swedish university must enclose an official examination certificate of at least three years of full-time studies in subjects with relevance for Life Science, such as biology, chemistry, medicine or the like.
Documented knowledge of English equivalent to Engelska B/Engelska 6; i.e. English as native language or an internationally recognized test, e.g. TOEFL (minimum scores: Paper based 575 + TWE-score 4.5, and internet based 90), IELTS, academic (minimum score: Overall band 6.5 and no band under 5.5), or equivalent.
