Introduction to Intersectional Gender Studies, Policy and Politics in a Globalized World, 30 credits

The course introduces and prepares students for work with intersectional gender issues and for further studies in intersectional gender studies and gender politics in a globalized world. A comprehensive introduction to basic knowledge about the emergence of contemporary intersectional gender, sexuality and ethnicity studies, policy and politics is provided. The course offers knowledge and skills for students who aim at working professionally with intersectional gender issues in international settings, institutions and organizations - as agents for change. The course will be conducted in English, with the aim of improving students´ communication professional on intersectional gender issues.

Specific admission requirements: Documented knowledge of English equivalent to Engelska B/Engelska 6; i.e. English as native language or an internationally recognized test, e.g. TOEFL (minimum scores: Paper based 575 + TWE-score 4.5, and internet based 90), IELTS, academic (minimum score: Overall band 6.5 and no band under 5.5), or equivalent.
