Water - Resource Management in time and space, Focus Greece, 7,5 credits

The course deals with water as a natural resource of importance, how it has shaped the organisation of society during historical time and geographical milieus, and in what way man through planning activity have tried to master the power of the water resource. The course runs part time during Nov. 2013 to Jan. 2014. It is given as collaboration between Swedish universities and with the Swedish Institute in Athens. In the course there is a one week of field studies in Greece.

Specific admission requirements: To be eligible to the course the student must have fulfilled 90 ECTS in fields as environmental science, water resources, geography, economics, social anthropology, political science, hydrology, engineering, chemistry, history and biology or equivalent.
Documented knowledge of English equivalent to Engelska B i.e. English as native language or an internationally recognized test, e.g. TOEFL (minimum scores: Paper based 575 + TWE-score 4.5, and internet based 90), IELTS, academic (minimum score. Overall band 6.5 and no band under 5.5), or equivalent. Exemption from Swedish B
