Information Retrieval and New New Media, 15 credits
Finding information is difficult at the best of times. Just as we have begun to find our way aurond the Web with search engines, the infosphere take an expansive hop with blogging, podcasting and social machines. The course will give students an introduction to and over-view of these new tools. We will look at how to find, evaluate and use the new new media.

Specific admission requirements: At least one year of full-time undergraduate studies. Documented knowledge of English equivalent to Engelska B/Engelska 6; i.e. English as native language or an internationally recognized test, e.g. TOEFL (minimum scores: Paper based 575 + TWE-score 4.5, and internet based 90), IELTS, academic (minimum score: Overall band 6.5 and no band under 5.5), or equivalent.
