English Literature and Cultural studies, 15 credits
This course aims to give a broad overview of primarily British and American contemporary culture and society. This is done through lectures, the study of up-to-date British and American texts, and seminar discussions. Students will also study a number of literary works which illustrate different aspects of British and American society, and the seminar discussions also give an insight into literary studies as an academic discipline. In addition to these cultural and literature studies, students will get a chance to practise their written skills through the composition of a literary essay.
