Master´s programme in Experimental and Medical Biosciences

The Master´s programme in Experimental and Medical Biosciences offers courses that combine theoretical knowledge in medicine and natural science with advanced laboratory techniques. This combination helps students interpret, analyse and understand complex biomedical problems.
The subjects in the courses are integrated. This means that biomedical problems will be explored through biochemistry, cell biology, physiology, pathology, toxicology and pharmacology. Theoretical knowledge is also combined with advanced laboratory work using modern technology. Students thus acquire both theoretical and methodological skills in the field of biomedicine.

All courses are taught in Linköping and are part or full-time at advanced or master’s level. Admission requirements are at least three years of full-time undergraduate studies with a major that is relevant for the programme, i.e. a major part of the courses should be in subjects such as; biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, gene technology, microbiology, immunology, physiology and pathology.
