Artistic methods in education, 7,5 credits
This course is primarily designed for exchange students who are not familiar with the Swedish language. The course aims at developing insight and knowledge in the use of artistic methods within education. More particularly, the course aims at training the use of artistic interpretation to bring about more qualitative aspects of communication in schools. Students will acquire skills in the use of materials and media used in pre- and elementary schools, although the methods used may be applied at all levels of education. The creative work process will entail documentation in the form of a 'travel log'. Documentation and the artistic product will be focused on in a group seminar where communicative aspects of the work will be discussed.
