Classics of Organization Theory, Advanced Course, 7,5 credits
As organizations play one of the most central roles in modern society, the subject of organizations and interrelated areas is studied from many different perspectives. This course gives a more in-depth knowledge of some major issues in organizational and managerial studies. One important step towards achieving this is to be familiar with the various schools of thought concerning organizations. Accordingly, we focus on different organizational and managerial paradigms and investigate the concepts, models and managerial practices related to different organizational paradigms. Topics include history, emerging patterns and some main streams of modern management thinking.
