Study visits
Forum Scientium has since its start 1996 made one or two study visits per year, mainly to companies but also to research departments in Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, Cambridge and Oxford.
By experience it is known that around 75% of the PhDs will have their professional career outside academia. Therefore, the study visits are an important part in the career planning for the PhD-students.
Study visit spring 2007 to Turku, Finland
This year Forum Scientium made a study visit to the wonderful city of hundreds of islands, to Turku (Finland) at 30th May-2nd June.
The trip offered exotic boat traveling, beautiful archipelago, sauna, and most important, interesting study visits to Åbo Academy, Turku University and to some of the 80 companies in the leading biotechnology centre in Finland, in BioTurku. For more information: www.bioturku.com
