Lips is a project model

The model has been specifically created for the educational environment and includes rules, instructions, and templates to ease the process of project management.

The model is scalable and can be applied to project courses with differing levels of complexity. It is particularly suitable for final year projects, although can equally well be applied from first year undergraduate to small industrial projects.

This document is not a complete description of project work and all aspects related to it. While the first chapters do include a short description of using a project model as a working form. Those readers that wish to learn more about project work are advised to study selected parts of the reference literature.

The LIPS model was created by Tomas Svensson and Christian Krysander of Linköping University, Sweden. Both authors have several years of project management experience in industry and higher-level education.
