Research at LiU relating to the environment and sustainable development

The interdisciplinary way of working that characterizes LiU is well suited to education and research within the environmental area. An overall view and system thinking are characteristics of LiU's environmental research. Rather than addressing individual environmental problems, researchers consider the flows of materials and energy between different actors, and how residual products can be handled.
In its research and education strategy for the years 2009-2012, LiU has emphasized research and education into Climate, Environment and Energy as one of four focus areas.
Around 150 researchers and research groups are doing work relating to the environment and sustainable development. Please follow the links below for further information.
