Commencement Ceremony
At Linköping University the main academic tradition is the Commencement Ceremony, which takes place two times a year.
Then, doctors are conferred and professors are inaugurated.
The day before the ceremony there is a University Gala Concert.
Commencement Ceremony spring 2013
This year's ceremony took place on 16-17 May.
On Friday 17 May, there was a doctoral conferment and professorial inauguration ceremony at Linköping University. Twelve professors were inaugurated and at the same time six honorary doctorates - of which five are international researchers - and 56 doctorates were conferred.
