2016-06-06 -- 2016-06-07 The Posthumanities International Network workshop "The Diseased Posthuman" explores the topic of bio-technobodies and pharmaceutical bodies from the theoretical perspective of post-anthropocentrism and posthumanism – putting into question the dichotomist and normative notions of disease, sickness, health, life, dis/ability and the epidemic, the toxic as well as the “natural” body. "The Diseased Posthuman" is part of a seminar series organized by the Posthumanities International Network. Formed in partnership between The Posthumanities Hub at the Linkoping University; Centre for the Humanities at University of Utrecht; Digital Culture Unit of Goldsmiths, University of London; and Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies at the University of Warwick, PIN brings together scholars invested in post-conventional humanities and provides a flexible platform for further research and collaboration.
