Riemann and Klein Surfaces, Symmetries and Moduli Spaces

Conference - Department of Mathematics
2013-06-24 -- 2013-06-28 The conference will be devoted to the mathematics Emilio Bujalance has worked with, with special focus on Riemann and Klein surfaces, i.e. complex curves, automorphisms of surfaces (real and complex), group actions on surfaces, Grothendieck theory of dessins d’enfants (maps and hypermaps) and topological properties of moduli spaces of complex curves. The conference will have a computational/combinatorial flavour, with focus on group actions on Riemann surfaces, Klein surfaces and related structures such as complex surfaces or hyperbolic manifolds. The conference is thought as a meeting point between the different areas involved with Riemann and Klein surfaces, following Professor Bujalance’s view of mathematics. Anyone with interest in automorphisms of discrete structures is welcome to the meeting.
Location: Department of Mathematics, Linköping University

IGEN Day

Conference - Department for Clinical and Experimental Medicine
The Integrative Regenerative Medicine (IGEN) Center invites you to “IGEN Day”. IGEN conducts research in a variety of scientific fields, ranging from stem cell therapies to advanced biomaterial development. Scientists and clinicians at Linköping University and the University Hospital, with the common goal of improving tissue regenerative strategies and restoring function to damaged or diseased organs and tissues, founded the center three years ago. The “IGEN Day” will be an opportunity to learn more about some of the ongoing projects in regenerative medicine with talks from our renowned European collaborators, as well as current IGEN post-doctoral researchers. The scientific program will be available shortly.
