Welcome to Swedish for Foreign Students!
We offer a variety of part-time and full-time courses, for foreign students and university employees, ranging from absolute beginners’ level to C1/C2 according to the Common European Framework for Languages.
Part-time courses for exchange and masters’ students
Courses are offered at four levels:
Beginners’ Course in Swedish, Level 1 (A1)

The following application procedures apply:

Masters’ student at the faculty of Arts and Sciences, please send your application to the Admissions Office. You will find application forms on this web page: http://www.filfak.liu.se/utbildning/masterprogram/on-campus?l=en
PhD-students of all faculties will be admitted as far as space allows. Please send your application to the Admissions Office using the form found under the link above.
If you are a masters’ student at the Institute of Technology and wish to study level 3 or 4, please refer to the instructions for Masters’ students at the faculty of Arts and Sciences. Admittance is subject to availability.
College Course in Swedish
A one-year full-time course preparing for university studies in Swedish. Students who pass will meet the Swedish language requirements for admission to university studies.

Language proficiency course at advanced level for students who already meet the language requirements for university studies.
Swedish for university employees
In the spring semester of 2011 we will offer one course for beginners (A1+A2) and one course at the B1 level according to the Common European Framework for Languages. Please refer to the following link for more details on the courses:
