TRAVEL TO LINKÖPING
Linköping is strategically situated next to highway E4 and the main railway between Malmö and Stockholm. The position makes it an easy destination to reach. Linköping has also got it¿s own airport with both domestic and international traffic.

Fly directly to Linköping City Airport, just 5 km from downtown. You can get to Linköping from all around the world with KLM's Amsterdam-Linköping route or directly from Copenhagen with Nextjet.

It's easy to get to downtown Linköping from the airport by taxi or rental car. You can also take the bus. The nearest bus stop, Vetegatan, is a bit less than 750 meters from the airport terminal. The route is bus 16 from and bus 17 to the Resecentrum

You can also get to Linköping by flying to Norrköping Airport, which is only 40 km away.

Skavsta Airport
Low-price international airline Ryanair flies to Skavsta Airport outside of Nyköping, and from there airport buses (Flygbussar) take you direct to Linköping.

You can also rent a car at Skavsta Airport. Hertz has an agreement with Ryanair so that you get a discount if you show your boarding card: www.hertz.se

Arlanda Airport
Arlanda - Stockholm's international airport. Arlanda is Sweden's largest airport and acts as an important hub for the Stockholm region and Scandinavia - owing to flights to 172 destinations around the whole world, and good ground transportation to and from other parts of the Stockholm region.
To get to Linköping from Arlanda Airport, go by train. Linköping is directly accessible by train from Arlanda Central Station (Arlanda C).
BY TRAIN
Linköping is also easy to reach by train because it's on the way between Stockholm and Malmö, so there is frequent rail traffic.
On the X2000 rapid train, the trip to Stockholm takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. To Malmö, the X2000 takes about 2 hours and 50 minutes.

BY CAR
It's easy to get to Linköping by car. The major roads leading here are the E4 and Roads 34 and 35.
E4
The E4 runs to the north of the city and you can choose from three exits:
Exit 111, Linköping V (west), if you're coming from the south. You will pass by Old Linköping on your way downtown.
Exit 112, Linköping N, is the exit to the Tornby shopping area with IKEA and the IKANO shopping mall.
Exit 113, Linköping Ö (east), if you're coming from the north. Follow the signs toward "centrum", the downtown. A good alternative if you want to attend an event at the Cloetta Center.
Road 34
Road 34 is the route to take from the south, from Vimmerby or Kisa, or from Motala and Borensberg in the north. This road passes the western part of Linköping, where the university and the Mjärdevi industrial area are located. This is also the shortest and easiest route to the Air Force Museum (Flygvapenmuseum).
Road 35
Road 35 leads to Linköping from Åtvidaberg. This takes you into the eastern part of the city, where the Motor Stadium, SAAB and the airport are located.
