Transformers - a prepostdoc programme

Within Forum Scientium, exceptionally good PhDs can apply for a Transformer Award to get funding for continuing their research at Linköping University. The award aims at promoting the future career for the awardees and to stimulate the multidisciplinarity within Forum Scientium. It should also be of benefit for the active PhD students within Forum Scientium. The awardees should therefore be active within at least two Forum Scientium research groups, and he or she should assist within their specialities to all PhD students within the network. During the transformer period Forum Scientium provides 20 000 SEK per month during a period of maximum 12 months as part of the costs for the salary. This covers approximately 50% of the salary costs for 9 months, or 35% for 12 months.
In order to be eligible for a Forum Scientium award one should have, or plan to have, a PhD-exam from Forum Scientium during the last 12 months or within the forthcoming 6 months (parental leave compensated for) counted from the deadline of application.
