Infectious medicine
Infectious medicine includes prevention, diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up of acute as well as chronic infections. Care and isolation of patients with contagious diseases, rational antimicrobial treatment, and epidemiology also belong to this field. Research at LiU is broad, with a certain emphasis on tick-borne infections.
