Neurosurgery

 

Neurosurgery as a medical speciality is devoted to investigating, operating on, and follow-up care of injuries to and illnesses in the central nervous system - the brain and the spinal cord. Fractures in the skull and the cervical spine are also treated. Research at LiU aims at refining defensive, neuroprotective treatment during operations and neural intensive care.
