Linköping University is renowned for its innovative educational spirit and its longstanding tradition of cross-disciplinary studies and research. CARERs focus aresas are highly interdisciplinary and are no exeption from this and gives training and education both at university level but also with different rescue services in the community.

Master¿s and Bachelor programs
Master in Cognitive Science
The master program in cognitive science include courses such as risk and accident analysis, decision theory and behaviour of joint cognitive systems in complex environment.
The focus is primarily on cognition and communication, with and by technical artifacts, how to get people and technology to work together. In this interaction between people and technology it is necessary that human conditions and development opportunities is conserved and also at the same time consider the knowledge of modern information technology's potential and limitations.
Bachelor Programme Air traffic and Logistics
On the air traffic and logistics program, which trains flight controllers and logisticians, security is a key concept that pervades the entire program. The students also have courses in particular risk and accident analysis.
Courses
Course in Leadership
Business Administration at Linköping University gives the course leadership for engineers.
The aim of this course is to provide knowledge and insights to analyzing and understanding the management processes within groups and organizations. The course will give the skills to prepare for further work with staff and organizational development from a management perspective, where theories and models are an important part. The role as leader of project teams will particularly be stressed.

Course in Planning of Rescue System
A course in planning of rescue system is given at the programs Society
Logistics and Communications Studies, Transport and Society. The course focuses on the planning being done to create effective emergency response, and will address, among other things, the planning of rescue services, ambulance and police with speakers from the MSB, SOS Alarm and the National Police Federation. Other important pieces of the course is resource management, leadership, risk and accident analysis and learning from accidents.
