Current information on practical things
The conference takes place at Konsert & Kongress, Konsistoriegatan 7, situated in the city centre. The venue is located within walking distance from all hotels we have recommended. The conference will be opened at 13.00. You are welcome to register from 10.00.
Final conference programme September 7
The final programme is downloadable at our website. Due to cancellations from paper contributors and other circumstances, there have been changes in some of the sessions. We therefore ask you to pay attention to this. Presenters of papers need to check time for their presentations, which papers they are going to act as discussant for, and when they are acting as chairs of sessions.
Downloading papers
Submitted papers can be downloaded on our website; you find the login identity in e-mail sent from Ulla Nilsson September 7. As soon as missing papers are submitted they will be made available at the website.
Copies of the papers will not be distributed at the conference. Each participant is expected to download and print the papers they wish to read. Papers submitted before August 16 has, as a service to the participants, been put on a CD included in the conference package. This will be obtained by participants upon arrival at the conference venue. Late papers are not included on the CD.
Internet
Wireless internet connection is available to all participants who bring their own laptops. Login information can be acquired at the registration desk.
Important information to presenters of papers, discussants and chairs of the sessions
When scheduling the conference we have composed sessions with three papers each. The duration of the sessions is two hours and the time slot for the author¿s presentation is maximum 20 minutes. Discussants for each paper have been appointed among the presenters within the session. The discussant has 10 minutes for comments.
We have also appointed a chair for each session. The task of the chair is to help the presenters to keep the timetable, but also to facilitate a discussion at the end of the session, comparing the concepts and contexts in the papers presented. Questions one might pose to the papers could be: Are there similar concepts in the papers and how are they used differently/similar, do they have different meanings? In what way are the contexts in the papers similar/different? Are there any issues that could be raised that relates to all the papers in the session? Time at disposal for this last discussion is 30 minutes.
As mentioned above there have been changes in the programme which makes it very important to check the final programme to verify your tasks.
Technical equipment
Please bring a USB memory if you wish to use power point. All session rooms are equipped with computer and it is important to use USB memory sticks to avoid technical hassles which easily occur when switching to individual computers. The computers are updated with the latest version of power point (Windows/Microsoft Office 2010). All the rooms are also equipped with overhead-projectors.
