Three consortia

The programme research is organised into three different consortia, each with a different energy system focus, in other words industry, municipalities and regions, and buildings. The various doctoral projects are individual and consistent with each respective division’s area of expertise. The doctoral candidates review one another’s work and papers, and these encounters between different areas of expertise affect the individual thesis work in terms of both orientation and content. The consortia’s joint activities in the form of seminars and study visits, to name only but a few, provide the forum with a process of interdisciplinary integration. To date, the consortia’s more direct interdisciplinary research has been conducted within what are known as “interdisciplinary projects.” These are doctoral projects carried out during the postgraduate school’s third term, and consist of cooperative work between doctoral candidates within the consortia.
