Upcoming final seminars at Tema T

Helena Karresand will have her final seminar 12th of June. Titel "Apparater, aktiviteter och aktörer. Lågenergiboende som resurs och restriktion för energiordningar".

Malin Henriksson will have her final seminar 17th of June.

Car race

Martina Wikström will be participating in Oresund Electric Car Rally on the 1-2 June, a two day event between Copenhagen and Malmö (via Helsingborg). There will be 60 electric vehicles competing (10 more than last year) and Martina will be driving a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.

New PhD

Congratulations to Dick Magnusson at Tema T who defended his PhD thesis ”District Heating in a Liberalized Energy Market: A New Order? Planning and Development in the Stockholm Region, 1978 – 2012” on the 15th of March.

Autumn meeting 2013

Next autumn meeting will be held on the 21-22 of October 2013 in Uppsala.

15 year anniversary

The Energy Systems Programme celebrated it's 15 year anniversary with a two-day conference at Norra Latin, Stockholm, on the 8-9 November. The first day started with speeches and a panel discussion with invited speakers and some lighter “energy systems entertainment”. A workshop on sustainability was also held in the afternoon and the day ended with a celebration dinner. The second day was on interdisciplinary research with invited speakers from other interdisciplinary programs and universities, on top of that some workshops on interdisciplinarity. Thanks to everybody who attended and helped make the celebration a pleasant and rewarding occasion!

New book

Patrik Thollander and Jenny Palm have written a book called ”Improving Energy Efficiency in Industrial Energy Systems. An Interdisciplinary Perspective on Barriers, Energy Audits, Energy Management, Policies, and Programs”. Publisher Springer.
